Seven Simple ideas for Going the extra mile

  1. Create individual gift bags for each of the guests attending

Personalise little gift bags with name tags and something simple e.g each person’s favourite chocolate bar or a picture of them and the hen. Add in something for the day/evening – a wearable decoration (sashes or flower crowns/headbands), pre-mixed shots or dare cards for later. Obviously this is much easier if you have a smaller group, and budgets need to be taken into consideration – you don’t want to end up footing the entire bill.

2. Supply food favourites

Create a spread with all the bride’s favourite foods. But don’t stop there, include something that you know each of the guests enjoys. Find more food inspiration here.

3. Hangover kits

Create hangover kits for each guest, including a superior option for the bride. Ensure there’s Panadol, electrolyte sachets or drinks and a moisturising face mask. Better yet, if it’s an overnight affair ensure there’s coffee and toast available in the morning. If not everything for a full-blown fry up.

4. Allergies, fears and dietary requirements

It always pays to check if anyone has a severe allergy, if there are dietary requirements or if anyone has any fears relating to the activities organised.

5. Video or letter from the groom-to-be

If the stag do is the same night, it’s a nice added extra to have a message ready from the groom, to the bride. This could be in the form of a short and sweet card or a heartfelt letter or video. Alternatively, you could ask the groom to video his answers to one of the bride/groom games. Find all our game ideas here.

6. Invitations

Make everyone feel special with personalised, custom made invitations. Don’t forget to include all the important information and contact details.

7. Décor

Decorations are lovely and the more thought out the better. But, does anything say ‘we thought about you and we love’ more than a few vases filled with the bride’s favourite flowers? We think not. Note: keep budgets and destination in mind.
