Seven Easy And affordable game ideas
No hen party is complete without games, but that doesn’t mean they have to diminish your budget. We’ve rounded up seven of our favourite, low-cost games for your playing pleasure.
Put a ring on it
Fill a bowl with plastic rings and ask each guest to put one on when they arrive. The words ‘bride’ and ‘wedding’ are banned for the entire day. Any time you catch someone saying one of these words, you may steal their ring. The person with the most rings at the end of the day wins a prize.
Porn or polish
Write a list of nail polish names and porn titles, for example ‘playing with fire’ (porn) and ‘tart with a heart’ (polish). You can either do this on board or print out individual pieces of paper for each player. The aim of the game is to guess which are the names of porn films and which are nail polishes. The person to guess the most correctly wins a prize – we suggest a nail polish.
Bottle ring toss
Collect several, various-sized glass bottles, paint them different colours and place them in a crate. Buy a cheap bunch of bangles and voilà, you have your very own ring toss.
Dirty Pictionary
It is as it sounds. On cards/small pieces of paper, write down sex positions, sex toys and other dirty actions and pop them into a bowl or hat. Split the group up into teams, going through the team each person should pull out one piece of paper/card and try their best to draw what’s written. One point is awarded to each team for each correct guess. You can decide whether or not to time the teams while they draw. The team with the most points wins. Note: The same idea can be used for dirty charades.
The bottle and the orange
For this all you need is one (empty) prosecco bottle and an orange or orange-sized ball. Ask all your guests to stand in a circle. Halfway round the circle pass the bottle to a guest. They must pass the bottle to the person next to them, only using their legs. On the other side of the circle, pass the orange to someone. They must hold the orange between their chin and neck and pass to the person next to them, using only chins and neck. The aim of the game is to not have the orange catch up to the bottle or vice versa. If you drop either, you’re out!
Sweet, sweet memories
Everyone should write a memory of themselves and the bride on a piece of paper. These are to be read out one by one and the bride must guess who she shared the memory with. Every memory she gets wrong, she must have a big sip of her drink.
How old is the bride
Print off various pictures of the bride throughout her life. On individual pieces of paper, each guest should try to correctly guess the exact age she was in each photo.
